Well, there is no denying that living in a single room could be quite a challenge. In order to use all the space available to live comfortably we certainly do need a few tips and tricks. It is not a difficult task to even make this living space that is going to combine a dining area, a living room area, a kitchen and a bedroom all in one to look spacious and airy. The most important thing is to ensure that you have taken into account all the functions of the room and design your room efficiently enough to make it functional and also beautiful, comfortable, elegant and stylish. This space is going to be your study area, your dining area, your cooking area, your relaxing area and also your sleeping area. Sure it is a challenge to integrate all this into one room – but let’s see how best it can be done.

The first and most important thing to do while shopping for furniture is to ensure that you buy furniture that has multipurpose storage facility and multipurpose function. A kitchen counter should be able to turn into a study table or even a dining area.  The living room space should be able to convert to a bedroom space. The sofa should function as a sofa by day and a comfortable bed by night. Have a sofa cum bed with enough storage space to put away the bedroom ensemble like bed spreads and pillows and comforters in the day time and cushions and sofa covers in the night.

Have shelves that can be elevated or folded inside when not in use. For your kitchen buy only those utensils and storage containers that are absolutely necessary. Do not clutter it. Have a wall mounted TV and an all purpose table that could be folded into the wall when not in use. Buy a large mirror to give a sense of large space. These tips are sure to help you when you have decided to go in for a studio apartment.
